Automatic capping machines

These are widely used capping machines as they works for most bottles and caps and at a reliable speed depending on capsize and container configuration. They are used to handle flat caps, sport caps, Yorker caps, metal lids and any other caps that can be placed or picked off with or with minimal special cap or bottle handling change parts. There is a wide range of automatic capping machines each coming with its own pros and cons.

Automatic inline capping machine

It caps at a speed of 200 cpm and with limited bottle handling and change parts and with ability to handle flat caps, sport caps, Yorker caps and metal lids.

Automatic chuck capping machine

It is slower and more costly than the inline type because they require multiple change parts. They are however extremely reliable and repeatable.

An automatic cap placer

Handles caps with larger diameters thus offering a good economic solution. The cap must be vertically placed to prevent cross threading on the container, they are used as cheaper economic substitutes for chuck capper when the caps and container sizes are quite large.

It used for tightening and re-tightening after cap placement or pumps and spray heads placed by hands

Automatic snap capping machines

It is quite specialized to the application of NEPCO or caps with no threads. The cap is picked off or placed in the same manner as the inline type and then pressure of the rollers is used to force the cap to its seated position

Handheld capping machines

These are capping machines of lowest cost and serve as alternative to the automatic ones but they require the highest labor. They are operated manually. They use pneumatic units to provide a smoother and more comfortable torque control. They are operated manually by starting the caps and pressing the unit down on the cap to activate it while holding the container; this places downward pressure on the cap. The unit will stall or disengage its clutch when the target torque is reached.
